In 1932, Mr Becquet, a chemist by profession, began trading in liquids such as alcohol and hydrocarbons. The tanker-transport business soon expanded, with the introduction of bi-tronconic tankers and tractors fitted with controllographs in 1948. In 1996, Becquet continued to expand, with activities as varied as bunkering ships, distributing heating oil and fuels, and transporting gas and chemicals.
