A look back at Servanin's safety day!

A look back at Servanin's safety day!

On 27 September 2022, Servanin organised and invited its drivers to a safety day.

A team-building event that allowed Servanin drivers to have a good time while combining safety and conviviality.

Servanin succeeded in its objective: a warm moment of exchange... But not only that!

What was the Safety Day all about?

The aim of the day was to make our drivers aware of the dangers they may encounter every day on the road.

It was also a fun and enjoyable way to tackle the subject of road safety.

Where did the safety day take place?

In partnership with "Marietton Pro", a training centre for road trades, the day was held at their Vaugneray site.

A place dedicated to the road trades, with a wide range of routes to encourage apprenticeships!

Thank you to Marietton Pro and all the people who worked with them on the day.

What happened?

From 9am to 10am, coffee and croissant.

The day began over breakfast, with plenty of opportunity to chat and get to know each other.

Then it was time to create teams and explain the rules, challenges and rewards of the different activities.

10 a.m. to 11 a.m., 1re activity.

What could be better than a reminder of the Highway Code to discuss the decisions taken by everyone to improve road safety and eliminate any doubts linked to certain situations on the road?

11 a.m. to 12 p.m., 2e activity.

Careful, now! It's slippery...

This simulation activity was designed to simulate driving on an icy track.

The drivers took it in turns to get behind the wheel of this car, where the rear wheels were fitted with castors that prevented them from controlling the vehicle.

The aim of this activity?

Understand an icy road and be able to manoeuvre your vehicle in a similar situation.

From 12 noon to 1 p.m., 3e activity.

Learning reaction time and ABS.

This activity, carried out on a track, consisted in demonstrating that in the event of excessive speed and driver distraction, braking times were significantly extended.

From 1 p.m. to 1.30 p.m., Quizzes and prize-giving!

At the end of each workshop, participants were given a 3-question quiz.

A ranking was drawn up by Marietton Pro and prizes were awarded.

It was a great way of thanking all our drivers for their commitment throughout the morning, as well as every day within the company.

From 1.30pm to 3pm, debriefing of the morning and... barbecue!

It's time for a meal, a chat and a good time.
