Servanin, a subsidiary of the Brun Group based in Saint-Genis-Laval near Lyon, is taking a new step forward in its collaboration with Air Liquide. A specialist in the transport of hazardous materials, Servanin is now embarking on a sparkling new activity: the distribution of food-grade CO² for major fast-food chains such as Quick, McDonald's, KFC and many others.
A new service at the heart of fast food
This new mission is being carried out with a specially-equipped carrier vehicle fitted with a container belonging to ALCO². Inside this container is a tank with a capacity of 3,000 litres of food-grade CO². This gas, which is essential in the preparation of soft drinks, is distributed to the restaurants using a well-oiled logistical process.
The Servanin driver does what you might call a real "milk run" for restaurants. It delivers CO² directly into the tanks of catering establishments, enabling the production of fizzy drinks such as Coca-Cola, Fanta and sparkling water. By combining this CO² with water and specific powders, restaurants can offer consumers the sparkling drinks they love so much.
A touch of bubbles in the everyday life of Rhone-Alpes residents
With this service, Servanin is playing a key role in supplying CO² to the fast-food industry in the Rhône-Alpes region. Thanks to its logistics expertise and this new activity, the company is contributing to consumer satisfaction by enabling them to enjoy their favourite drinks every day.
A long-standing commitment to Air Liquide
This project is part of a long-standing relationship of trust between Servanin and AirLiquide. This new collaboration demonstrates Servanin's ability to meet the specific requirements of its customers while innovating to adapt to market needs.
Servanin's new CO² food distribution business is a concrete example of how the company is evolving to meet the needs of major players, while remaining true to its values of safety and quality service.
